for the past month or so, there has been a lovely duck couple hanging out in the pond at my office. a coworker told me they've been coming here each spring for some time. i quite enjoyed watching them swimming around together while i ate lunch. this week, however, the lady duck is MIA, and the male is looking quite lonely in the pond all by himself. i wonder if she is just off laying eggs somewhere, or if disaster has befallen them?
