when they said pitcher they meant it
May. 6th, 2003 02:25 ampld and i went to get dinner at cancun since it was cinco de mayo and all. i got a pitcher of sangria, not really thinking that it would be an actual full pitcher, since sangria usually comes in something more like a carafe. oh the sloshy tummy on the walk home! netflix has allowed us to start watching 24 while we wait for perlick to get his buffy tapes back from whomever he lent them to. (so thoughtless of him!)
trip to TN was interesting. the reunion was only slightly painful, mostly just kind of strange. it's weird drinking with people from high school. (at least for those of us who never did anything interesting when we were young.) not all that many people showed up, which was disappointing. well, around 20 or so people came to the party thing (although not all at the same time), which out of 60 i guess is not all that bad percentage-wise, but disappointing nonetheless. person i was most surprised to see there - howard. most interesting/amusing (but not really surprising) story - julie. (she's doing a creative writing masters now, writing a novel, and teaching yoga.) best shotgun wedding - jon. most aryan family - robbie. (with a lovely blonde wife and three adorable little blonde girls.) things we drank the bar out of - brandy, fosters, vanilla ale. and was it any surprise that it was a hardy few of the least popular of us who closed the bar?
went out to my mom's place on monday and stayed there two nights. mama goat hershey had just had twins 10 days before. we took lots of pictures. so cute! they're like adorable little puppies. with hooves. that try to climb or eat everything they encounter.
anyway, pics are up and it's past my bedtime.
