oh how i wish they would turn the heat on. my apartment is a freezer, which doesn't really help a sick person feel better. it's very strange. although i'd been feeling like i was fighting off a cold, i was fine last night, except when i went to bed i was feeling an ever so slight stomach discomfort. i slept for two hours, then woke up and writhed in discomfort for about an hour before finally getting up and going to hurl. i then went back to bed and tossed and turned, barely sleeping any at all, until 8am when i called in sick. at this point i finally realised that there were things that could probably help me in the sleep department, so i took some nyquil and was able to sleep for the usual four hours of its effect. i was afraid my stomach might not tolerate the nyquil, and i felt a little bit of cramping at first, but the nyquil won out and i was able to sleep through it. so now i'm sitting in my icebox of an apartment wondering what to do. i had some instant oatmeal, which hopefully will not be too unpleasing to my stomach. i was kind of afraid to eat anything, but the hunger was gnawing at me, seeing as how i'd lost most of last night's dinner. is this some sort of stomach flu or something? my joints are strangely achy. i'm not used to dealing with such things. i pretty much never get the flu, just lots of annoying colds. i'm in a strange state, because my head is clear and i don't seem to be feverish. not what i expect from sickness. normally the only times i ever throw up are from alcohol or food poisoning, so i'm a bit confused. maybe i should take a shower to warm up.
