dream snippets

a group of people is trapped inside a burning building, but the building is enchanted, so nobody realises it, not them, not anybody outside... the only clue is that precisely at noon every day, you can smell the smoke. a few people inside become suspicious of the smoke and jump out a window, horrified once outside to discover that they are covered in soot and having difficulty breathing. but, they are unable to go back to rescue anyone else, because the enchanted building cannot be found from the outside.

then there was the girl who got away with murder about whom a documentary was made and shown at a film festival... in my lovely dreamworld i got to witness the actual act, which involved the freezing of the victim and the subsequent sawing off of square pieces of his torso. then there were the vampires.

when i awoke from this, i was not exactly scared, but a bit unsettled and not wanting to go back to the dream from which i'd come. this is extremely rare for me, as i almost never ever have "bad" dreams or nightmares, or even when i do dream about something which might be distressing, in my dreams i generally maintain emotional distance. for example, i'll dream about things like having the back of my head shot off and trying to find my way to the hospital with half my skull missing, but i am entirely removed and unaffected emotionally...
