mmm, more personal hygiene sharing

1. in which direction do you wipe? do you believe this to be The One True Way?
ass: front to back from behind, front bits: back to front from the front (being sure to start well clear of the rear bidness). when i first heard about the whole "you must wipe front to back to avoid nastiness" thing, i was very confused by it, because i didn't see how you could wipe your ass any other way, and it seemed like it would be very awkward to wipe the front bits starting at the front. *shrug*

2. do you smear stuff in your armpits to help you smell better? if so, what?
i use avalon organic deodorant (lavender). i believe antiperspirant is a Bad Thing. also, i am thinking about going to get laser hair removal since the cost has come down a lot.

3. describe the current length and cleanliness of your fingernails and how you feel about fisting.
i keep my fingernails clean by obsessively picking at them and washing my hands regularly. my little fingers and thumbs are currently bitten well into the quick, and the other 6 nails are trimmed short. i have no desire to place my fist inside of anyone else and am somewhat ambivalent, though curious, about the concept of having someone's fist inside me.

4. if you are a person of blood, what is your favorite menstrual absorber and method of disposal?
always ultra with wiiiiings and/or ob tampons. my hippie mother never used tampons, so i've only recently started trying them. they're neat!

5. shower much? how much? and how much is too much?
on average about every other day, more if i'm hot and sweaty, less if i'm a lazy slug. i wash my (dyed) hair about once a week, but rinse well and condition it whenever i shower. i try to remember to wash my face on days when i haven't showered, but i don't do it very often. (i never had skin problems as an adolescent so i just didn't get in the habit.) showering more than once a day is usually excessive, unless you're in southeast asia or special circumstances require it.

6. do you prefer to buy your hair styling products or excrete them yourself?
i buy hair products now and then but rarely ever actually style my hair. i do use leave-in conditioners or smoothing stuffs sometimes.

7. brush the tongue: a) always. b) never. c) special occasions.
i've just started brushing my tongue since i went to the dentist recently and was given a talking to. i have an impressive gag reflex though, so i don't do a very good job!

8. netti pot? discuss.
i am squicked out by this concept.
