over the weekend i...
- slept a whole hell of a lot
- went to trader vic's and suppenkuche to celebrate marc's birthday
- slept a whole lot more
- watched 24 and (finally) chicago
yesterday i...
- stopped the automatic ira investment that was being deducted monthly from my checking account
- made an appointment for my taxes
- contrived to made some extra funds available for me to access if necessary
- read a lot of lj
- hung out with karen for less than 2 hours *sniff*
- saw my therapist
- submitted my unemployment application online (last time i applied i used the phone. the first time, i actually waited in line at the edd office. go technology!)
- watched more 24, decided it's still not worth watching
today i...
- slept a lot
- took out my trash
- went to the bank and deposited my last checks (payroll + mileage reimbursement)
- got a refill of my prescription at elephant
- browsed the yellow pages for cleaning services
- read a lot of lj
ok, so i've goofed off enough i think. time to make plans! schedules! be productive! or something.
here's what i will try to get done tonight and tomorrow:
- unpack from vacation
- put all clothes away
- do dishes
- send in new mail order 3-month prescription
- set up apartment cleaning appointment
- balance checkbook
- figure out if the $2 rent discrepancy north berkeley properties claims i underpaid some month or other actually exists
- decide how many training sessions i should buy (the personal trainer i have an appointment with is having a holiday special - all the sessions you want at $35/session, one time only, and from my brief talk with her i think she will probably work out, so i figure i ought to go for it...)
- go to the gym, meet with personal trainer
- set up gym schedule!
i'm going to nashville to go through the house with my mom jan 22 - 29, which should be interesting. i plan to not worry about job stuff until at least the end of february, since my birthday is coming up and february will be over before i know it.
my big goals for my jobless time right now are:
- set up a serious plan and make progress on getting in shape/losing weight
- make my piles of paperwork disappear
- set up new quicken stuff
- get my apartment in order
- figure out what to do about health insurance
- make sure my dental work is all done
- finish ripping my cd collection
- organise tags and get all of my music in usable form on the nomad
- cook more
- get outside more
ok that's all for now. here's to new beginnings!
