makeup

okay, i know various girls i've encountered have offered in passing to help me learn how to make myself purty, and i wish now to take advantage. i never learned how to put on makeup when i was growing up (hippie mom, no girlie-girl friends), and in the recent past, i've only played with my appearance by changing my hair color. now that i'm doing contract work and decided to keep my hair a more normal shade, i figure maybe this is the time to finally figure out how to make myself look good. if i can't distract them with my bright purple hair, maybe i should try to actually dress well and look put together... if i can't get on What Not to Wear, maybe some kind soul here will take me under her wing and teach me how to be fabulous?

a real update?!

burningman was not bad. of course i didn't get out as much as i planned to. stupid dust storms. got to meet kenny finally, hung out with him and his gf judy on burn night. didn't seriously injure myself, yay. this past weekend we managed to get the majority of remaining stuff de-playafied and put away.

i ordered this vacuum, which i am very excited about. i will finally get to vacuum the freakin stairs! and under the couch! and in all the corners!

my manager got approval to keep me on as a contractor through april. starting today, i'm a Volt AWF (Alternative WorkForce) employee, and i get a $5/hr raise from my intern wage, so that is extra rockin.

and i realized that it is now the middle of september, and i haven't been working on that whole wedding location thing for awhile. guess i'd better get back on that. hm, nine months till june.
