for the second day in a row, i thought about going to crossfit but decided to go home and jog instead of fighting traffic down to sunnyvale. this is a rather frustrating aspect of the new job in belmont. i'm still thinking tuesday 6:45pm crossfit with climbing after should work, but traffic is just too unpredictable at 6pm. so far it looks like leaving early on wednesdays to get to the chiropractor is going to be my best bet for that (since it's too far to go at lunch, and morning are too likely to involve a long wait), so i've got plenty of time for some cardio and then crossfit after that, but i should go twice a week, and there's climbing to fit in...

anyway, today i jogged for 27 minutes without stopping at all. distance was about 2 miles. clearly i was slowing down here and there, but i've never gone that long without walking rests before, so yay! i saw a lovely sunset; looks like this will be the last week this year that after work jogging will be possible.

i've been keeping up with my diet pretty well, but i haven't been food logging lately. the problem is i'm super perfectionist about it, so if i can't log everything exactly, then i just give up. i know i'm doing okay caloriewise, and i'm slowly losing weight (about 8 lbs so far), but it's really good for me to see the protein/carb/fat breakdowns and other nutrient info. i really wish i had a magic food computer that could scan anything and tell me the exact nutritional content! oh well. at least i'm feeling positive about my progress, and i'm looking forward to getting under 160 again. after that, i'll be shooting for 150, but that'll be a longer term goal. i haven't seen 150 in a rather long time at this point.

i have a lot of stuff i should've gotten done while i was underemployed that i didn't get through before going back to work fulltime, so i need to focus some weekend time on getting shit done. shockingly, for past three weeks until this past weekend, i didn't sleep in at all! i had the crossfit fundamentals class the first weekend, then i went climbing at lover's leap the next weekend, so unsurprisingly, this past weekend was spent mostly sleeping. now that i'm recovered and getting used to the fulltime work thing again, i hope to have a few motivational cycles free to get some stuff done before winter malaise sets in...
