Mood swings are confusing. At some point many years ago I would stay up at night writing long drawn out letters to my ex-girlfriend, talking about how I don't have a grip on life and everything is falling apart. And invariably I would send her another letter the next day saying "everything's fine, was just feeling kind of weird."
