step 1

sitting around telling myself that i should eat better didn't seem to be doing much, so i have finally started a food diary. i will write down everything that i eat and drink, which may not do much in and of itself, but hey awareness is the first step right?

in other news, my mother told me last week that she's thinking it's time to sell the house in nashville, which means a home must be found for everything of ours that currently resides there. her suggestion was that she would split the proceeds from the house with me so that i could put a downpayment on a house here and thereby provide a new home for whatever i want to keep of the family furniture and whatnots, which she is not terribly keen on dealing with and which are coming to me eventually anyway. she ought to get enough from the sale that she could buy a house in cookeville as well as send enough my way for a reasonable downpayment. this seems like a rather logical plan, and has set me to daydreaming about decorating and landscaping backyards and such things. yikes, domesticity! fear!

Yikes! domesticity! eek!
When you get around to looking for a house, feel free to call me for a consult as I have some limited experience having done it once.

I kept a food diary in the summer of 95. It was primarily to get my mom to stop bugging me about food (she's a nutritionist and seemed to think I was going to become anorexic or bulemic at any moment during college). It was just a word document. I came to the conclusion that while I wasn't the healthiest eater in the world, neither was I a particularly bad one, and my diet was just fine. *shrug* Good luck with all of your endeavors.
