should i bare it all?

so, i have some pretty nice pictures of myself in the nude, all arty and stuff... i'm trying to decide whether i really care if the public at large can see them or not. i don't particularly have any issues with people seeing me naked, so part of me says hey why not, but another part of me just feels kinda icky about it. what do you think? should i include nekkid pics in my photo galleries?

I've had some difficulty doing this; some people got freaked out at seeing me naked, which seemed pretty strange to me, but that's just the way those people are.

Other people who have done this (e.g. Philip Greenspun) have complained of rude email. It wouldn't surprise me if you got a certain amount of that too, but I'm sure you know that and are ready for it.

I had a roommate who, when he saw my friend Lillith's porny photo on her home page, developed a sort of erotic infatuation with her. I don't think that ever resulted in anything more than lots of innuendo on icb though.

It would surely make the web a slightly nicer place if you did it, though. It's just a question of whether it's worth the... exposure?

Wow. Philip Greenspun is a name I haven't heard in quite a while...

I used to work for that guy...

Anyway, nakedness: my own experiences with having naked pictures of myself online have been nothing but positive (but they were porn, not art, so that's probably a bit different...) It's been good for my impression of myself and my body. Even if nobody says anything, the act of sharing is itself quite empowering.
