ride bike

after getting the shoes and using them in spin class for awhile, i finally took the plunge and got some shimano spd pedals for my bike. i just took the bike out for my virgin ride around the block with the new pedals, and of course totally ate it the first time i tried to stop. woo! after that i did ok though. here's to riding bike now that it's not raining every single day!

Whee! I loved the feeling of riding up to a stop sign in the city, coming to a stop, and slowly, gracefully, toppling over to one side because I couldn't get my feet out of the pedals. Heck, it happened to me a couple weekends ago here in New York because I hadn't ridden my bike in so long. The best part is everybody looking at you like you're mentally deficient because they don't realize you have cleats on and think that you're just too stupid to take your feet off the pedals. Yay!

Maybe I'll go for a bike ride this afternoon. Hrm...
