alternate universe?

so i went shopping for some new clothes for my new job, and i found some really nice khakis at target. and they are exactly the right length for me. wtf?! are bizarrely short pants suddenly in style?

also, i wandered into new york & co at the mall, somewhat randomly, and found some super nice fitted tops that work well for the larger bosomed. this is one of those stores i never went into before because it seemed like a forever 21 type place where everything was for anorexic teenyboppers, but i was pleasantly surprised!

yay.

also, 5 year anniversary today. 5 years! crazy. we had a nice fancy dinner. i fantasized about throwing rocks at adobe. woo.

Congrats on 5 years... I think "cropped pants" are in now, but I don't think you have super short legs.

thanks! i don't have super short legs, but at 5'3", most everything is too long for me if it doesn't come in more than one length. i finally figured out my actual rise in pants -- 31". the "ankle" length at gap (supposedly 30") is usually good but sometimes a bit too short, and the "regular" length (supposedly 32") is usually too long, but sometimes perfect. (of course the manufacturing can't be exactly consistent, that would be too much to ask. (the last pair of old navy jeans i bought actually has two different length legs!))
