i found my battery cover. it was hiding under my desk where i had looked carefully with a flashlight several times, but it did not show itself until the light of day.

i've been writing private entries lately, full of emotional detritus. in case you were wondering.

airborne

i dreamt last night that i was parasailing (from a US military submarine, strangely). i don't think i've ever had a real flying dream, but this was pretty amazing. i was quite high in the air, and the line was some sort of plastic thread, like fishing line, and it kept making disturbing stretching noises which were rather unnerving, but it was so fabulous and exhilarating to be aloft and to see the incredible view that i was able to overcome my fears without too much difficulty.
