sometimes memory doesn't fail
Mar. 19th, 2004 03:08 pmso here i am trying to get access to the sg web machine so i can deal directly with the gallery, and i give r my ssh public key and all, and then i realise shit, i don't know what my passphrase is... it was the same as the one i had at vrts, which i used all the time when i was there, because i had my xsession under ssh-agent auth, but i haven't needed to use it even once since i left there 3 yrs ago. i'm thinking, shit i'm fucked, i'll have to bug r to add another different key from a machine where i've just key-gened and actually know the passphrase, and he's on his way to the airport so that won't happen very quickly, but then i start to remember bits of the mnemonic sentence i had for it, and suddenly the whole sentence comes to me, and after several attempts at recreating the keystrokes, my fingers actually manage to land on the right keys, and how fucking stoked am i?!
