chocolatey

baking a cake sure is a good way to make a quick mess of a kitchen.

trying a recipe for chocolate guinness cake that i saved from somewhere. the only flavoring in the whole thing is the guinness and the cocoa. not even any vanilla or anything. decided to go with their recommended icing, which is just chocolate melted in simmered heavy cream. very simplistic! i'm interested in finding out how complex the guinness flavor turns out to be.
