best spam snailmail i've received at work so far was today from Heifer International, an aid organization that provides farm animals to 3rd world families.

i am amused that you can buy a "Milk Menagerie" (a quality-breed heifer, two goats and a water buffalo) or a "Knitting Basket" (two llamas and two sheep — one male and one female of each).

give the gift of sheep for the holidays! or a Flock of Chicks! (we all need that, yes?) or bunnies! "Rabbits Get Results" you know.

My roommate received that catalogue. I especially loved that you can buy some nice Guinea Pigs for the kids in Peru. Yummy!

My brother's godmother always either sends guinea pigs or rabbits to somewhere in the world via Heifer International as an Xmas present to him. He always hated it...made no sense to him, and wasn't as cool as a toy heh.
