my shoulders started really bothering me a couple months ago, injury probably mostly from doing pushups and going too far down. i basically haven't been able to do any upper body stuff at all; the only thing that doesn't seem to aggravate them is ring rows. i've been going to a physical therapist and doing rehab exercises, but also trying to keep climbing a little bit (once a week, easy stuff) and go to crossfit workouts and just do whatever seems like it won't be too bad for the shoulders, but improvement is disappointing, and my elbow tendonitis is getting worse now...
so, i think what i'm going to do is put my planet granite membership on hold for a bit and just use the gym at work and do rehab exercises + squats only. i'd like to be able to do deadlifts too, but i think the grip would keep my elbows aggravated. :( i signed up for the
wildcatM 5k trail run, so i'll just focus on learning how to run for now and give my upper body a real rest. it sucks not being able to climb and lift, but hopefully my injuries will clear up relatively quickly with actual rest!
