finding the sunshine

i got my hair cut last tuesday and bleached, and i haven't dyed it purple yet, so i've been blonde for a week. kind of apricot/orange actually, not truly blonde since i had that drugstore dye in my hair and would've had to bleach enough to make all my hair fall out to make it really really blonde. as is it's just on the edge of manageability. the ends are kind of fried but overall it's still not too bad.

yesterday i managed to install the new memory for my new computer that i bought last week on wednesday before i went over to L's, so xp actually runs at a reasonable speed now, woo! and last week i also put in my old disks and pulled stuff off of them, so i'm feeling like i'm able to start slowly accomplishing things again little by little. i have to find a freebsd box so i can get to that data though, so hopefully i'll be able to get myself to take care of that in short order so i can feel the computer shit is taken care of. and i can write CDs now, so that should be a reasonable solution for backups for now. also, G said he'd lend me his colour printer since he only uses that for cd covers and uses his fax/printer for everything else, so if i can manage to get through my paperwork crap and clean up my desk so i have somewhere to put it, then all will be taken care of!

today was a positive day. i'm feeling good about my ability to get stuff done and crawl back into the sunshine.
