once again it was an almost insurmountable struggle to get up this morning. although i had gotten 8 hrs of sleep, i could not muster the will to rise until i was an hour into snooze and late for work. i feel unbearably sleepy. i want some coffee although i know i shouldn't...
hm, i didn't think my eyes were that creepy in this picture, but i've looked at myself in the mirror when i really _am_ on drugs... this picture is a selfportrait taken in thailand, btw.
Nope..! I was the first one. And it is creepy..thats what I meant. I guess. Scary/creepy its all the same to me. Too much coffee is what I was reminded of.
hmm, I need to ask him, but I believe my old roommate had a similar experience with his ssri. Or maybe it was the opposite one, that he couldn't get to sleep... I know he ended up with two different pills for day and night, but I don't recall the details. Let me ping him and see what he says.
BTW, I love this userpic and think it is a really cute shot of you.
interesting. I hope it is something that slowly goes away, or that dosage regulation can help you out in that regard. One of the things I failed to do when I was going through what you are, is inform my employer of what was going on. It eventually led me to lose my job (well deservedly I might add). If you are finding that you are showing up late for work regularly, you might want to have a talk with your boss and let him/her know what is going on. (you may have already done this, and something in the back of my mind says that I read this in your LJ, but I cannot recall for sure)
I definitely had problems with the insomnia, and I'd also get really groggy immediately after taking it. They both seem to be clearing up lately.
I find that I have trouble getting to sleep if I take my lexapro later in the day than about 3pm. I usually manage to remember it by then, though. You could try changing the time at which you take one or both drugs, to maybe even things out somewhat...
Also, buspirone is somewhat sedating. A lot less so than the other anti-anxiety drugs out there (benzodiazepines: also commonly prescribed to help people sleep), but it might cause you some trouble still.
It's supposed to get better with time. It has for me and most of the other people I've talked with about it. Sucks in the meantime, though...
Ok, so my friend had trouble getting to sleep. He ended up on trazadone at night and zoloft in the morning. Not that that information will apply to you directly at all, but I just thought the idea that you could combine two to combat the sleep issues was interesing and wanted to relay it.
